This Gold Line conserva pairs small whole Galician sardines with genuine Pimientos de Padrón, the small green peppers grown around the town of Padrón that are a fixture of Galician tapas menus. Ramón Peña selects small sardines at port, grills and toasts them, then hand-packs them in the tin with the peppers and olive oil.

Preparation and Flavour: The sardines are cleaned and lightly grilled before canning, giving them a toasted note alongside the usual clean, briny sardine flavour. The Padrón peppers add a mild vegetal sweetness with the occasional gentle kick, true to the pepper's famous reputation.

Serving Suggestion: Serve straight from the tin as a tapa, alongside crusty bread to mop up the oil, or scatter over a warm potato salad. Pairs well with a chilled Albariño.
