A Different Kind of Olive Oil. This is one of the few genuinely extra virgin, certified-organic olive oils in the range. Olivo infuses certified organic EVOO from Alicante with real porcini mushroom over several weeks, then removes the solids and bottles the oil, with no artificial flavourings involved.
Preparation and Flavour: The infusion draws out porcini's earthy, savoury depth into the oil, giving a rounded umami note without any dried-mushroom grit or bitterness.
Serving Suggestion: Finish risotto or mashed potato, drizzle over a steak, or use in place of butter when sauteing wild mushrooms. A small bottle format that's ideal as a finishing oil.
